Food Standards Scotland produces festive ‘checklist’ to avoid food poisoning

We have launched an 8-week consultation on the introduction of new food ‘compliance notices’ (CNs), which are intended to help enforcement officers deal quicker and more fairly with suspected contraventions of rules on food standards, such as incorrect or fraudulent product labelling.

People of all ages should take a daily 10-microgram vitamin D supplement this winter, according to a national marketing campaign being launched by Food Standards Scotland (FSS).

Food Standards Scotland (FSS) and the Food Standards Agency (FSA) are urging reptile owners who have purchased certain feeder mice for their pets, to take extra precautions to avoid becoming ill with salmonellosis.
